The 24th annual Honolulu AIDS Walk is coming around and it’s time to start prepping for the family-friendly, fun and memorable event. Walkers can now register as individuals or as a team with their friends, family and/or co-workers online at www.honoluluaidswalk.org.
The Honolulu AIDS Walk is a leisurely 5k (3 mile) walk around Kapi‘olani Park, and features great entertainment, on-stage give aways, a kid zone with inflatable bouncers, health fair, and food booths to keep the fun going throughout the event. There is no cost to participate but you must register for the walk to receive weekly walker challenges for great prizes and invitations to exclusive pre and post events. Last year, 3,000 people participated in the Honolulu AIDS Walk and raised $160,000 for Life Foundation. This year, Life Foundation is aiming to double participation and funds raised this year.
Individuals, teams, groups, friends, families, co-workers, corporate groups are all encouraged to participate. There is no fundraising minimum or registration fee; however we do have some awesome prizes for those who raise $100 and up including special prizes for top fundraising corporate teams, in the fight to stop HIV!
Team Captains whose team raises at least $2,000: Entered in a drawing for a special prize. Prizes will also be given to the top fundraising corporate team, top friends & family team, the top three individual fundraisers, and the top teams and individuals participating in the “Fighting HIV/AIDS” themed costume contest (Must be a registered walker/team to qualify).

The Honolulu AIDS Walk looks for over 250 volunteers to play help play key roles in making the walk a smooth and successful event. Do you have high energy, a positive attitude, and a passion to see HIV/AIDS a thing of the past? Well if this is you we would love for you to be a volunteer.
Volunteers really can make a big difference in the experience our walkers have. Job roles vary from more labor intensive roles like set up and break down to simple easy roles such as water distribution and sign holders. All volunteers will receive a special Honolulu AIDS Walk Volunteer Shirt to wear when you check in that day.
